We've had a box fan that's been bothering us for a while, mostly because the setting of "3" seems, at best, equal to "2" on other units in this house. But the motor spins freely, so what else might be wrong here?

Join us as we swap out the fan capacitor you can't see until after removing the rear cover. Then, and only then, will we bother to test the suspect unit to see if it was really the problem. If not, we wasted eight bucks on a "shotgun style" replacement. Which is it? Let's find out!
