You Never Seen A Concrete Slab Pour Like This! (They Used Wall Forms)

We pour a lot of thickened edge concrete slabs in our work. Today we're pouring a garage slab addition and it has very thick edges.
The main reason for the edges being so thick is to support the weight of the garage walls and roof structure. The extra concrete around the perimeter is acting as the foundation as well as the floor for the garage.
This was also a heated slab, so there was styrofoam, 15 mil poly, wire mesh and radiant heat under and in the slab.
We call this type of slab a haunched slab, some people call it an Alaskan slab, and some call the thick edges grade beams.
