Cannon County Walking Horse Association Annual Labor Day Ride - 2022

Описание к видео Cannon County Walking Horse Association Annual Labor Day Ride - 2022

This annual event which is held in Cannon County, Woodbury, Tennessee sees the horse and rider travel all the way from the town of Woodbury via highway 53 to Seals Hollow Road (where this was filmed) and continuing up North Short Mountain Road to their base camp. I enjoy watching the horses as they make their way up the Mountain to their Horse Camp destination.

Cannon County Walking Horse Association is a nonprofit organization located in Middle Tennessee in the rolling hills of Cannon County. CCWHA offers use of a campground, trail riding, and weekend ride-a-thons to its membership. The Cannon County Walking Horse Association was established in 1940 when a group of local horsemen and friends gathered together for a trail ride. Their purpose then and now is very simple - enjoy horses, trail riding, camping, friends and community. Today, the CCWHA owns 400 plus acres, for the sole purpose of riding equine. This land contains scenic views, deep hollows and miles of wooded trails. The terrain is very versatile, accommodating riders from beginners to the experienced, as well as thrill-seekers. An average of 300 plus riders, including wagons and buggies, make the traditional Memorial and Labor Day Ride-a-Thons on the county roads leading to the campgrounds. The CCWHA also has an annual ride and fun day in the summer and fall.
