Описание к видео Tai Chi Master Nelson Ng: Realities of Being an AAPI Artist Series

Tai Chi Master Nelson Ng joins host Leianne Wong Lamb for episode 6 of the new "Realities of Being an AAPI Artist" series, in which artists share their insights and experiences as artists.

In his late 20s, Nelson began practicing Tai Chi during a challenging personal crisis when focusing and thinking clearly felt nearly impossible. Seeking a way to maintain physical routine and mental clarity, a friend introduced him to Chen-style Tai Chi. Nelson soon found himself training with a teacher in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. His practice, especially in the serene outdoor environment, became a form of therapy that helped him navigate that difficult period.

Nelson's practice grew, and he eventually became a Tai Chi Master. He now teaches this martial art and shares its benefits through free community Tai Chi classes.
