Part 1: Winter EV Campervan trip! | Wales to Austrian Alps 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇦🇹⚡🚐

Over 3000 miles in a fully electric Nissan e-NV200 campervan from North Wales to the Austrain Alps and then onto Slovenia and Croatia in the depths of winter!

In this episode we travel from the UK via ferry to the Netherlands then drive down through Germany to Austria where we spend a couple of days skiing and playing in snow before carrying onto Slovenia and Croatia. We had bad weather driving down through Germany but our EV campervan coped with it fine, we found plenty of rapid charging options. We kept warm at night by running the EV heating system to stay warm, which worked well with outside temperatures down to -6 degC.

In Germany we mainly used a combination of Chargemap and NewMotion (Shell Recharge) to activate EV charge points. I used PlugShare route planner and ABRP to choose charging locations and Chargemap / Shell Recharge to check live status.
