Zpacks Nero Ultra 38L Ultralight Backpack

Описание к видео Zpacks Nero Ultra 38L Ultralight Backpack

Welcome back everyone! In today's video we're taking a first look at my newest piece of ultralight backpacking gear, the Zpacks Ultra 38L. To my knowledge, this is the lightest backpack currently on the market. I plan on using this pack as my overnight bag for all four seasons and possibly stretching it to 3-4 day trips during three season backpacking adventures.

This pack is very interesting for a multitude of reasons. It is my first frameless backpack that I used for something other than a day hike. It is constructed from one of the newest ultralight fabrics, Ultra 100. Allegedly ultra fabric is lighter and stronger than dyneema. Could this material be the future of ultralight gear?

I want the audience to keep in mind that this pack will only be suitable if you have an ultralight gear setup. The maximal trail weight of the pack is only 20 lbs. I would recommend having a sub 10 lbs base weight before buying this pack. If your gear isn't light and compact, this pack won't work out for you.

I'm able to fit my top quilt, bottom quilt, hammock, tarp, food bag and pretty much all of my gear into the main body of the pack. With that being said, I usually keep my rain gear on the outside of the pack for easy access. I also plan on keeping my water filter and first aid kit in the outer mesh pocket as well. The mesh pocket is nice if your tarp or rain fly for your tent is wet as you can place it outside the pack and not worry about soaking all of your other gear!

As i mention in the video, this is a first impression video. I have only used this pack once while hiking and camping so this video is NOT to serve as a comprehensive review.
