Steamed taro leaves is a popular dish in Assam and friends it is liked by most of the natives of Assam. So friends today my channel CLAY KITCHEN is presenting a healthy recipe of this taro leaves, "steamed taro leaves". For this recipe I have taken a hand full of soft and new taro leaves removed the outer skin and washed them. Then I heated fresh banana leaf over my gas stove so that it become flexible and I can use it as wrapper. I have just placed the leaves in the middle and added salt, black pepper powder, ginger garlic paste about one spoon, fresh chillies and tamarind and then wrapped up and tied in one end and finally placed in frying pan for steaming. I have cooked this in low midium flame with covered lid for about 25minutes changing the sides every after 5minutes. After 25 minutes it's over let it cool down for a while and then it's ready to serve. Now friends these taro leaves bears lots of health benefits in it, like it's good for weight loss, gut health, blood sugar levels, heart health, it contains a variety of antioxidants and polyphenols, it reduces cholesterol levels, controls blood pressure, helps to prevent anaemia and it helps in increasing sperm production.
