Second Half

Texas took the opening drive of the second half and with the big arm passing of Walton and Cavil catching took it deep inside Bruin territory. Ricky had a tough inside run to set up a TD by the other Ricy, Brown -- one of the best blocking backs in Texas history. UCLA 35-10.

Texas defense gains momentum and stops UCLA with Aaron Humphrey on key tackles and the quote "McNown is a dead man".

Texas gets the ball but momentum is lost when Ricky Brown fumbles. UCLA capitalizes with a TD drive 42-10. Deshaun Foster -- UCLA star FR RB - reveals his favorite RB is Earl Campbell.

Texas tries with Ricky runs and catch but Kwame can't gather a catch and UCLA gets the ball, but throws a pick to Jammer who makes an athletic move

Walton continues to show his big arm, having a very good game, passes to Cavil. Sets up Ricky for a TD run. 42-17.

UCLA is stopped by Aaron Humphrey. Walton hooks up with Cavil with a great pass/great catch but then throws his last career pass as he hurts his throwing hand.

Major comes in, hands off to Ricky who ultimately scores. 42-24. This was not Major's first game as he played the prior week vs. New Mexico State. Walton finishes 14-22 for 200 yards, a very good showing.

The UT comeback is short lived as the Freddie Mitchell highlight show continues. McNown hits Freddie for a 79 yard TD pass, against the short slow UT secondary, outmatched the entire game. 49-24 UCLA

Major hits a pass to Jamel Thompson setting up a TD by Ricky. 49-31.

Overall, a good game by Ricky, Cavil, Walton and some parts of the D. The secondary was the massive flaw as UCLA rolled up about 600 yards of offense.
