Taurus 942M 2" 22Mag Revolver velocity test, 2" vs 3" barrel.

I finally picked up the Taurus 942 with a 2" barrel! Let's do a velocity test between it and the 3" barrel version of the same gun. This .22 Magnum compact revolver can be a good choice for concealed carry (if you decide to carry .22mag for personal protection) with its 8 shot capacity, smooth operation and great reliability. I used CCI .22WMR Maxi-Mag, 40 gr JHP with a claimed velocity of 1875fps (out of factory test barrel) in both the 2" and 3" versions of this pistol. Although there was a loss of velocity and energy, it could still be a viable candidate for stopping an attacker while maintaining concealability.
