HO Scale Ops: Mike Porter's Chicago Great Western (pt1)

Welcome to 1967 on the Chicago Great Western set predominately in Iowa. This is one of the neatest home layouts I've been to. It's 90% completed and fills a 75' x 35' basement. It uses the Easy DCC system and dispatching is done verbally over a phone system.

This railroad also interchanges with the Chicago NorthWestern and the Rock Island. There are also innercity lines that switch the industrial districts. We will be seeing them in upcoming episodes of this series, which is looking like it will be three parts. In this video we mainly only see one leg of this layout, so there is a lot more to it.

Gonna wrap it up here, hope you all will enjoy this series as much as I enjoyed filming it. Again, it's huge and extremely well done. Literally one of the most impressive railroads I've ever seen whether a club or home layout. So yeah, hoping you'll enjoy it. Also, BIG thanks to Mike for letting me in to film, had a great time.
