R-Type Final 3 Stage E7.0 with Arrowhead R-Typer3

Описание к видео R-Type Final 3 Stage E7.0 with Arrowhead R-Typer3

This is the final stage of R-Type Final 3 on R-Typer3 Difficulty with the Legendary R9A Arrowhead, my favorite ship from all shmups.

Ships in this series: Arrowhead, Delta, Ladylove, Wave Master

The Arrowhead is the very first ship from R-Type and is still a great one. The red weapon fires a criss cross of red and blue beams straight ahead. The blue weapon fires from 45 degree angles and straight ahead and bounces off of walls, the ceiling, and the floor. The yellow weapon fires at 45 degree angles and crawls along the floor and ceiling. The Bits are Round Bits and will fire while the red weapon is equipped. The Standard Force fires in the standard pattern and behaviors while detached. I was using Homing Missiles because they're good for all occasions.

Where the Amber Wind Blows is similar to stage F-A from R-Type Final without the sexual aspects that were present in Final. I love how it plays RTF2's ending theme in the stage, soft and somber as you make your final approach to the boss.

The Bydo Core has a few different attacks that I've seen in all the times I've been through this stage - first is the swarm of flies that almost gets me, but there's a safe spot in the middle of the storm. I was saved by my Bits in this recording, because I wasn't expecting this attack to come first. The second is the wave of Crystal balls that you can destroy if you have a homing Force or the Psy Bits, but are easily dodged. The third is a debris storm that you can just shoot down, much like with the stage wreckage. Another attack is the swarm of armored jellyfish that you see in the stage - I like to hug them and let the red weapon strike their weak point, but the blue weapon works well too. There are a lot of jellyfish, and I haven't worked out 100% how to get through that attack, so my apologies. The last attack isn't even an attack, as the Core just comes forward at your ship and tries to crush you. The weak point appears in different places depending on which attacks it gives - the past few times I played the game, it just had the weak point right in the front and I destroyed it easily. I was praying that it would give me some different attacks while recording so that I could show them off.

I know that I didn't play super well in this stage while recording, but I'll chalk it up to nerves and excitement for adding to the Ship Showcase Playlist. I hope you enjoyed this video, and yes, I do plan on making more.

I really want RTF3 to come out on Steam! I had to rebuy all of the ships on the PS5 version of the game because I spend most of my time playing on my laptop. You can see that my name is Victory!! in the video, as opposed to MatrixAndrAIa like on PC, which is a throwback to R-Type Final on the PS2.
