But Scarr and Emmett have made it, each carving out a unique pizza niche for themselves: the former serving classic NY pizza and the latter creating Chicago-style deep dish in the heart of the West Village.

While they might compete for consumers, the two business owners understand that competition is important and are good friends. Like Scarr, Emmett prides himself on creating a good quality product. While other restaurants have come and gone, they credit this emphasis on quality to their success.
