Hafez Street is one of the central streets of Tehran. This street is named after the Iranian poet Hafez Shirazi. This street is north-south and ends from Karim Khan Zand Street from the north and Hassanabad Square from the south. The northern extension of this street is called North Hafez after the intersection with Karim Khan Zand Street and continues to Sadr Street. The southern extension of Hafez Street is Vahdat-e-Islami Street.
