Learn how to make Peanut Chikki or Peanut Jaggery Bar at home.

Peanut Chikki Ingredients:
1 cup Peanuts
1/2 cup Sugarcane Jaggery
1 tbsp Water
1 tsp Ghee (optional)
a pinch of salt (optional)
Ghee (for greasing)

METHOD,
In a pan on low heat roast peanuts for 3 to 4 minutes or until nicely toasted and smells nice. Turn the heat off and allow the peanuts to cool. with the back of a bowl break peanuts slightly.
Grease a parchment paper or a plate with a little bit of oil or ghee and set it aside.In a pan add jaggery or sugar and 1 tablespoon of water. 
on medium-low heat cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
Test the syrup consistency when two string forms, when the last drop falls very slowly, or by dropping a drop of the syrup into a bowl of water.If the syrup drop becomes harder and brittle means syrup is ready. Optional, add 1 teaspoon of ghee to the syrup mix.
Turn the heat off and Add roasted and broken peanuts to the syrup, mix well and transfer it to the greased plate or tray.
Spread it gently with a greased spatula. Allow it to cool slightly & cut into pieces before it becomes hard.
