I Should Have Been In FLORIDA // Camping at LOUGHCREW MEGALITHIC CENTRE

With everything thats going on in the world we had to cancel our family holiday to Florida. Determined to get away on a wee break, Ali and I went to LOUGHCREW MEGALITHIC CENTRE for a long weekend camping. The megaliths are ancient pre-Christian spiritual sites located on the highest peaks in County Meath, Ireland. The weather may not have been on our side but we left Loughcrew feeling refreshed and energised. The guys at Loughcrew run a really good campsite and have adapted well to include Covid related health standards.

Lar Dooley is the gentleman who takes anyone for a FREE guided tour of the Cairns and passage tombs every Saturday. He was extremely informative as well as patient for people who may have needed a little longer to climb the hill.

I cant recommend Loughcrew Megalithic Centre enough. We will be back.
