How is a component created? From the idea to the friction stir welded component

Описание к видео How is a component created? From the idea to the friction stir welded component

How is a finished component created with friction stir welding (FSW)? This video shows step by step how easily a component is produced in a friction stir welding process.

Steps:
- Review the CAD data of the component and requirements for the component (e.g. tightness).
- Checking the geometries, tolerances, and material pairings
- Production of prototypes
- Material and geometric quality control of the welds
- FSW process development and optimization
- Development of dedicated FSW welding tools, specifically for your process and your component
- Simulation, design, and manufacturing of component-specific welding fixtures, feeding and handling systems, as well as the complete FSW system
- Shop test of the FSW machine at Grenzebach
- Delivery, installation, and commissioning at the customer's site

Each component and production process is unique. Grenzebach supports customers throughout the entire friction stir welding process - from the idea to implementation and product design - with many years of know-how. In this way, customers find their optimum component solution and the ideal machine equipment. Grenzebach is a partner customer can rely on with high-performance FSW technology and equipment worldwide.
