West Coast Faller Ep 02

The second episode of "West Coast logging" web series is on tree harvesting the title of this job is called the faller. The fallers job is to fall trees in a safest manner possible as there is many many hazards and unpredicted scenarios. The faller in this video is my step father in law Joe, I have high respect for his love for the job and the manner which he upholds his professionalism. The gruelling hike into the cut block is just the start of their day then have to go over safety practices so they can fall another day. The finesse Joe has with the chainsaw and placing the trees on the grown is something I would figure he has his doctrine in. Have a watch and see the finesse that Joe has doing this dangerous job.
