Game: Super Star Wars: The Empíre Strikes Back
System: Super Nintendo
Version: (US) 1.1

A LONG TIME AGO, IN A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY!

This is the longplay of Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, also known the Super Empire Strikes Back, the run and gun game for the Super Nintendo in 1993. This game was produced by Sculptured Software and distributed by JVC and later by THQ.

This is the second game in the Super Star Wars trilogy and is based on the film The Empire Strikes Back, which is also the second film in the classic Star Wars trilogy. This game follows the events of the film, with Luke again being the protagonist, who is discovering his Jedi skills even more, while fighting against the threat of Darth Vader.

The game starts on the cold planet Hoth and as the player advances, he discovers new locations, such as the city of clouds on the planet Bespin, in addition to the planet Dagobah where Luke will receive training to become a Jedi Knight under the guidance of Master Yoda. In the game we can control Luke (who carries his lightsaber, a Blaster pistol and later Force powers), as well as Han Solo (who, in addition to shooting, can also shoot grenades) and Chewie (who shoots and also uses a new attack called Spin Attack, which also allows some frames of invincibility), in addition to having the stages where we pilot vehicles, such as the Snowspeeder, the Milennium Falcom and the X-Wing, quite faithful to the film.

The game receives many graphics and gameplay improvements, now with characters able to double jump, making it easier to reach high places and giving more security to jump between platforms, as well as passwords to continue the game's progress (unlike the previous game, where it was required to play in one sitting). But don't think this is an easy game, it's not. This is a game with a greater challenge than the previous one and will require a true mastery of the player's Force to be completed. Like the previous one, this is also one of the best movie-based games made for the Super Nintendo.

This is the second video I make of this game, this time I recorded it with a much better encode. This is version 1.1, which was re-released in 1997 and was published by THQ.
I hope you enjoy the video.
