Aristotle, De Anima: What does the soul do? (pt 1)

Описание к видео Aristotle, De Anima: What does the soul do? (pt 1)

In Aristotle's famous work On the Soul (Latin: De Anima), he describes what the soul is, and its functions. In our short excerpt we examine Aristotle's view that the soul's activities involve a body. The soul, after all, is what makes the body a living organism, and it seems that emotions (an activity of the soul) are intimately connected with physical activity. In this video series we discuss Hylomorphism, the Act-Potency distinction, and Aristotle's view that the soul is the Form of the body.
