"In 1913, 20-year old amateur Francis Ouimet, a sporting goods salesman and former caddie who grew up across the street from The Country Club, defeated Englishmen Harry Vardon and Ted Ray, the two best golfers of the day, in the playoff for the Open championship, sparking the golf boom in America." -- USGA

This short was created to mark the 100th anniversary of Ouimet's historic victory. The video is part of a history exhibit at the The Country Club in Brookline for the 2013 U.S. Amateur Championship. ‪@usga‬ ‪@GolfChannel‬
