In this video, I share my experience traveling from Yamunotri to Gangotri via Barkot and Uttarkashi using public transport. I traveled on a budget, and I will show you the cheapest and most convenient way to travel between these two holy pilgrimage sites.

On the first day, I traveled from Yamunotri to Barkot by shared taxi. The journey took around 2 hours and cost me ₹200. I stayed in Barkot for the night, and I found a budget hotel for ₹500.

The next morning, I traveled from Barkot to Uttarkashi by government bus. The journey took around 3 hours and cost me ₹150. I had lunch in Uttarkashi, and then I traveled to Gangotri by shared taxi. The journey took around 3 hours and cost me ₹250.
