Cleveland weather: Storm chances over the weekend

Your 5 p.m. Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast for July 11, 2024:

The classic summer-like heat and humidity will be returning Friday. The jump in humidity will increase the threat for pop up showers and storms after 2PM. A brief heavy downpour or two cannot be ruled out. Otherwise, prepare for increasing clouds through the afternoon with highs approaching the upper 80s.

More storm chances will be included for your weekend forecast. Saturday's forecast will be similar to Friday, isolated storms in the afternoon. There will be a greater threat for storms Sunday. The rain gear will be needed going into next week. Round of storms will be possible, some could be strong.
