Loudness: A Lecture by Prof. Emeritus Torben Poulsen

The Interacoustics Academy welcomed Torben Poulsen, Professor Emeritus, from the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark, to deliver a presentation on the topic of loudness.

In this lecture, Prof. Poulsen explains the psychophysics of loudness, loudness models, and the loudness curve as well as dynamic aspects of loudness such as temporal integration and forward masking, and the implications of hearing loss on loudness.
