The excavation of the 14 acre Beachwalk Crystal Lagoon

This video is at the start of cast in place concrete for the seven foot high lagoon perimeter wall on the South of the lagoon. This lagoon excavation is designed for a 10 foot water depth as it is currently excavated. The "rim-ditch" located inside the basin is to control the ground water which is 6 feet above the excavation. The dewatering system is working and can be kept in operation while the perimeter wall is being constructed and while the permanent dewatering system is constructed. The "Permanent" dewatering system must be constructed so the "rim ditch" can be filled prior to the HDPE liner being installed. The dewatering system will be required to stay in place and operational until the liner has been installed, welded, as-built and certified. When the mechanical pumps used to control the lagoon basin water are operational and the liner is certified the Crystal Lagoon Fill Letter can be issued and the lagoon basin water filling can start.

I find this a good video showing the earliest starting of the construction of the lagoon, although the resolution is not as high as desired, the viewer can get the message.
