Overlanding Medano Pass into the Great Sand Dunes

Join us on our first trail video from Colorado! This is a short video showcasing some of the terrain you can expect if you head down Medano Pass.

Medano Pass is a primitive road that goes from the Great Sand Dunes to Route 69. The recommended route is East to West. It has a technical rating of 4/10 on OnxOffroad. It is approximately 20 miles, taking an average of 2.5 hours to complete.

This trail was our first trail in CO that tested us. One segment of the video (near the end) was the hardest part of the trail for us. The terrain was very rough and uphill. The video does not do it justice! You get a bit of everything, such as gravel, loose rock, steep hills, mud, water crossings, and deep sand!
