Lake Wenatchee Sockeye Hobie Pro Angler 14 7/29/2023

Very windy and choppy morning, barely fishable out of a kayak. DUe to this we fished far away from the typical Lake Wenatchee fishing grounds so we stayed out of everyone's way. Was not able to control the kayak at all, in fact used a paddle to help dig into a turn, or to keep from turning in to oncoming traffic. It was a real work out. Elgin Fishing God's Tooth spoon in pink set up kokanee style with 1/0 hooks and 12 inch 25lb leader (I started with 15 but one fish I landed broke the trail hook off in his mouth on the way in but luckily for himself wrapped up in the rest of the gear so I was still able to land it) and a Mack's Lure 7.6 inch Double D Dodger landed all the fish this morning. Day ended with a friendly visit by WDFW. #hobiefishing #camanomarine #MacksLure
