Sword of Sodan is flaming garbage, but is it THE WORST GAME ON THE SEGA GENESIS?

Описание к видео Sword of Sodan is flaming garbage, but is it THE WORST GAME ON THE SEGA GENESIS?

Hello, Internet and WELCOME to Retro Nick Relics! The show where I scour the Internet, to find all the weird stuff YOU have never played and give my 2-bit opinion on these 8 through 32-bit relics.

Back in May, I endeavored to find the worst game on the Sega Megadrive, or Genesis as we call it here in GOD'S country, and thought I had a pretty good first go with Osomatsu-kun: Nonsense Theater, or おそ松くん はちゃめちゃ劇場 as it's known in its native Japan. But, as the Internet is want to do, someone challenged my accusation and offered up a list of 5 of their own candidates for the biggest blight in the Genesis library. Top among their suggestions was Sword of Sodan! A hack and slasher ported over from the Amiga, that should have stayed there.

Watch as Retro Nick struggles to do even the most basic actions, and eventually give up on trying to save the kingdom of what's-its-nuts.

Sure it's bad, but is it, THE WORST GAME ON THE SEGA GENESIS? You'll just have to watch to fin out!

Sword of Sodan gameplay captured through a backed-up ROM of the game played through Retro Arch with a Retro-Bit Sega Saturn game pad and recorded using OBS Studio at 60 frames per second. Sword of Sodan is the property of Discovery Software and Electronic Arts.

A HUGE thank you to the Retro Game Squad podcast, for promoting the show and being generally awesome, standup guys! They often have me on to talk about more obscure Japanese games that no one around here has ever heard of, as well as flaming heaps of garbage like Sword of Swodan! You can find them here, at http://www.retrogamesquad.com. You can hear yours truly wax nostalgic on their Turbografx-16 and Sega Saturn episodes, as well as their co-op games and PC-Engine episodes.

And thank you to Vito Gesualdi who took the time to offer some helpful critique with my background graphics, which is why we have the nice, subtle diagonal logos slowly gliding by with scanlines instead of a bright, red mess. Check out his channel at    / vito  , or listen to his podcast “The Biggest Problem in the Universe,” and vote on all the problems at http://wwww.biggestproblem.com

If you like what you’ve seen, please tune again to see what relics I dig up next! Also feel free to follow me on twitter, at http://www.x.com/retron8, where I spew more opinions, share memes, and interact with other Retronauts out there.

Thank you so much for watching! I’m RetroNick, and you’d be too if you were me!
