How to Defend the Takedown (Basic Sprawl & Twist) - Grappling & Ground Fight

Описание к видео How to Defend the Takedown (Basic Sprawl & Twist) - Grappling & Ground Fight

In this video we're explaining how we use the basic Sprawl to defend the takedown when our opponent shoots in for the Double or Single Leg Takedown. We also show you how to follow his movement by twisting with him in order to remain in the dominant position.

As always, it's a very simple but effective technique that allows you to remain on your feet in a fight which is very important, particularly in a street combat situation.

As with our other videos, it may not look like your Martial Arts System but let's be honest, it's not supposed to. All of the techniques we use (whether striking or grappling) are based on or taken from the Master Wong Fighting System.

This means you'll see techniques from Wing Chun, Jeet Kune Do, Tai Chi, San Shou and even Traditional Kung Fu.

We take what we believe to be the most effective striking and control principles and techniques from each system and incorporate them directly into our Grappling & Ground Fight System. That way we only have to learn any given technique once, then simply adapt it to each situation as the fight or self-defence situation unfolds.

Over the coming weeks you'll see basic techniques from all aspects of our Fighting System including Preventing the Takedown, Getting the Takedown, Basic Control of Your Opponent and his Posture (both standing and on the ground), Transitions, Locks, Holds and Submission Techniques from all available positions just to name a few.
