In this video I show you how I change the ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) on my 2005 Acura TSX. It is critical to change the automatic transmission fluid at regular intervals to increase the life of the transmission.

Do your 2 drain and refills about a week apart.

I have never drained 3 quarts as listed in the manual. Its always been about 2.5 quarts with cold engine, and about 2.7 quarts with a warm engine.
1 Liter = 1.06 quarts

Its important that you check your fluid level when the engine is warm. If you check it cold you will get a slightly different reading.

The drain bolt washer size is M18 and can be aluminum or copper.

With regards to the maintenance schedule, "mainly" under severe conditions I think means: mostly, more than half of the time, more than 50% of the time. This can be confusing. The manual states that if you meet one of the "severe" conditions only "occasionally" then you can use the normal driving condition schedule.

Overall the transmission service went well. I feel the car is smoother on acceleration, quieter when accelerating, less vibrations on idle, and accelerates faster throughout the RPM range.
