Paddington is a railway station in the north-west of London. It opened in 1838 as a temporary terminus. After the opening of the main station in 1854, the first station became a goods depot. There are four underground lines: Circle, District, Hammersmith & City and the Bakerloo Line. The trains of the Great Western Railway and the Chiltern Railway trains terminates here. The Heathrow Express needs only 15 Minutes for the route Paddington - Heathrow and is cheaper than a taxi. Paddington has a magnificant hall. The "Paddington Bear" (a childrens book character) is named after this station.

Paddington ist ein Kopfbahnhof im Nordwesten von London. Eröffnet wurde er im Jahr 1838 als ein provisorischer Endpunkt der Great Western Railway. Nachdem 1854 der eigentliche Bahnhof erröffnet wurde, nutzte man die erste Station als einen Güterbahnhof. Vier U-Bahnlinen sorgen für einen optimalen Anschluss an das Stadtzentrum: Circle, Hammersmith & City, District und die Bakerloo Linie. Im Bahnhof selbst verkehren die Züge der Great Western Railway und die der Chiltern Railways. Außerdem startet hier der Heathrow-Express, der den Flughafen mit Paddington in 15 Minuten verbindet. Der Bahnhof besitzt eine bemerkenswerte schöne viktorianische Halle. Der "Paddington Bear" , eine Kinderbuchfigur wurde nach dieser Station benannt.
