In todays mini adventure we take a walk to Alcock tarn, Alcock tarn is located high in the fells on Heron Pike and was originally called Butter Crags Tarn before being enlarged by means of a dam in the 19 century.

The walk starts and ends in Grasmere and is around 2.5mile but can be made into a larger walk if required. The weather was glorious this week so decided to make the most of the sunshine and go out to explore he area.
