Honey Chili Potato - With a Healthy Twist & in a different avatar - No Maida, No Soy Sauce

Bye-bye French Fries; we don’t need you for this dish anymore. Honey Chili Potato made in a different way, yet you will get the same taste as if you are eating Honey Chili Potato.

Ingredients:
2 par-boiled potatoes (if boiled in a pressure cooker, cook for 2 whistles)
2-4 Finely chopped garlic cloves
1 tbs bread crumbs
2 tbs cornflour
2-3 Finely chopped fresh chilli
1 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
2 tsp Chili sauce
Grated ginger
Oil
1 Chopped onion
1.5 tbs Honey
1 big Chopped tomato
1/2 capsicum chopped (optional)
Salt
Water
Some spring onions
Sesame seeds for garnishing

Method:
Take 2 parboiled potatoes (they should be boiled from outside and hard from the centre) and grate it.
We will make potatoes flavorful
Add a chopped garlic clove and some grated ginger.
Add chopped green onion and coriander leaves
Also add some fresh green chilli chopped
And salt per taste
Add 1 tbs bread crumbs and 2 tbs of cornflour (you can use either if you don’t have one of this available)
Mix everything well
If potatoes are parboiled you will need less of cornflour and bread crumbs
Now before making roundels, apply little oil in your hand and then make small balls
Now time to cook them in appam pan
Take little oil and put in the cavity of appam pan and place potato balls
Cook at low to medium heat as we need them to be cooked for 7-10 minutes
Flip it gently and don’t be in a hurry to turn them; cook such that you get a golden colour on all sides
Potato balls are ready
Now make spoon
Take a pan, add 2 tsp oil
Add garlic finely chopped and some grated ginger
Add some chopped onion
Add salt per taste
Add freshly green chilli chopped; go easy with chilli as we will add chilli sauce later
Add some chopped tomatoes and capsicum (optional)
Take 1 tbs ketchup and 2 tsp chilli sauce and add to vegetables
Add 1 tbs water so you get right consistency; cook and mix well.
Now turn off the heat
And now add 1.5 tbs honey and mix well
Sauce is ready
Time to plate our honey chilli potato
In a serving plater; stake up potato balls and drizzle the sauce.
(Alternatively, you can toss these in the sauce as well.)
Garnish with finely chopped spring onions and sesame seeds.
