Seiko 7T32 6N10 Full Service and Repair

Описание к видео Seiko 7T32 6N10 Full Service and Repair

This is a Seiko 7T32-6N10 slide rule chronograph watch. The movement is the timely classic Seiko 7T32B movement.

When received, the rotating bezel spacer was missing, the alarm pusher was jammed in the 'in' position and it did not work.

On close inspection of the movement I found it needed a complete service, most probably it had never been serviced at all since manufactured in 1992.

Many quartz watches are never serviced, mainly due to service charges. That's fine for lower-end watches, but in my opinion, a well built watch is always worth preserving and servicing.

The service included stripping it down to its component parts, a complete clean, lubrication and then re-assembly.

The case, bezel and bracelet were refinished to remove many of the period scratches, and the slide rule legend re-blacked. The rotating slide rule bezel was missing its black plastic spacer, so a new one was made and installed.

The old Seiko glass was removed and replaced with a new Seiko glass to original specification, including a new glass gasket. All pushers were removed, including the faulty one, for cleaning and lubrication.

The dial and all hands are in mint condition.

This is one beautiful Seiko Slide Rule Chronograph brought back to life and will last for many years to come. Actually this model is becoming quite rare and Seiko collectors are grabbing them.
