I didn't feel as though the fist round of deoxidizing did the trick, so I did it again and got better results the second time.

Cleaning estate pipes has become a new hobby of mine. Peterson, Savinelli, Comoy's, Kriswill, Sasieni, Brigham, Stanwell, and Bennington pipes have all become new additions to my collection. There are some great deals out there on older estate pipes that need some love and tlc. I bought these 13 tobacco pipes for less than $60. The buffing machine was $50, buffing wheels, tripoli and rouge compounds about $50. I also purchased a $20 reamer. All in all, I spent $180 to do this restoration and they all came out beautifully.
