Hey family!! In today's video we're trying out new Thanksgiving Side Dishes, changing oil in Jake's truck, cleaning eyeballs and more! LOL! 🤣

Paula Deen's Corn Spoon Bread:

Ingredients
1 cup milk
1/3 cup yellow cornmeal
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup shredded and divided cheddar cheese
1 cup drained canned corn
1/2 cup chopped green onions
2 large lightly beaten eggs
2 tablespoons cut in small pieces butter
1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Directions
Preheat the oven to 400 °F. (NOTE: I went with 350 because my oven gets a little too toasty! LOL! )

In a medium saucepan, whisk together the milk, cornmeal and salt. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until mixture has thickened, about 5 minutes. Stir in 1/2 cup of the cheese, the corn and the green onion. Temper the eggs by slowly whisking some of the hot milk mixture into the beaten eggs. Stir the tempered eggs into the milk mixture. Pour the mixture into a 1-quart baking dish. Top with pieces of butter and sprinkle with the red pepper flakes and remaining 1/2 cup of cheese. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until center is set and cheese is lightly browned. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

Skillet Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients:
butter, to rub on skillet
8 strips of bacon
1 pound fresh green beans
2 15oz cans cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk
salt & pepper to taste
1/2 red onion chopped
1/2 cup mushrooms
1/2 cup grated parmesan
1 cup French fried onions

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.
Rub skillet with butter and turn on to medium high heat. Chop bacon into small pieces and add to skillet. Cook until bacon is almost done then add the green beans, cream of mushroom, milk, salt, pepper, onion, and mushrooms. Sprinkle top with parmesan and French fried onions. Bake in 350 oven for 15-20 minutes, until fried onions are browned.
