Editors - Rock Am Ring 4th June 2006 Television Highlights Broadcast

Описание к видео Editors - Rock Am Ring 4th June 2006 Television Highlights Broadcast

Taken from German TV, this is Editors' appearance at Rock Am Ring on the 4th of June 2006. As with most things in life, there's a downside. The television broadcast is missing Bullets and Bones. Time constraints and possibly the fact that Bones was still an unreleased track may be the cause. I actually have audio of the full gig from a different, lower quality streaming source which unfortunately had glaring errors in it. It was definitely a problem, but luckily I had a day off work at the time which allowed me to extract the sounds and patch them up, so you can now grab the complete set at the Archive as mp3s. Use the link below to head over and download them.

The set is almost all Back Room, with the exception of the "new song" Bones. This was one of the early performances of the track and if you only know it from the AEHAS album, this arrangement will be something new for you. I love the older shows because of the inclusion of songs like Open Your Arms (which sounds like it's played at double the normal pace here), and the mighty Fall which we don't get to hear nearly enough. Other little points to watch out for are the fabulous change in sound at chorus of Blood when Tom drops the foot down hard on his effects pedal to distort it, and the casual way they all drop their guitars at the end of Fingers. There's also a good view of Ed's drum kit from above, and it's not an angle we normally get to see things from. He has quite the setup around him, even back in 2006 it was detailed.

Enjoy the music ;)
