This motor must have been over worked it else it had a fault. normaly when these motors fail it due to the bearings failing. You will hear it when the bearings are gone, the motor becomes extremely loud.
Luckily for this customer I had a good second hand motor to replace it with allowing me to keep the repair cost down.
