• History of Buddha Temple

The architecture and building up of the Lord Buddha Temple began in the year 1965. The structure of the temple was inspired by the original Buddha Temple monastery located in Tibet. The Buddha Temple complex was built as a part of four Tibetan religious schools. It was named as Nyingma, and associated with the strong religious beliefs of Tibetan people. It took 50 odd artists to complete the structure of golden paint in nearly three years. This Buddha temple in Dehradun is among one of the four Tibetan schools.
