In 2014, on April Fool’s Day, Pluto TV was born out of a contrarian idea, starting the era of free-ad supported television (FAST), and changing the media industry forever. In May 2024, Olivier Jollet, Executive Vice President and International General Manager of Pluto TV was invited on stage at the #marchedufilm ( #mdf24 ) to attake the audience through Pluto TV's journey over the past decade, and reveal how the platform went from being what many thought was a gamble, to becoming an industry leader and a billion-dollar business.

With an introduction from Maria Rua Aguete, Senior Research Director Media and Entertainment at OMDIA, the session offers a deep-dive into the evolution of the FAST, touching on content strategy, business model, its synergies with SVOD services and what lies ahead.
