Loja Ecuador to Piura Peru Day 14 Mountains to Desert.

Desert X rides into Peru. Loja Ecuador to Piura Peru 326 KMs. Leaving Loja we battled through the traffic once clear of the city the road opened up. Amazing ride through the mountains hardly any traffic lots of twisty bends a clear views. then the decent into Peru where the temperature went. Down to the border where we arrived at a brand new border control. Unfortunely the computer system went down and we had along wait. The good news was the place was fully air conditioned.

Over the border park up to get our third party insurance. Takes a while but you can get some home made food and cold drinks in the cafe. Baking hot.
But we are in Peru!
