New River Gorge Bridge, the Long Point Trail, The New River Gorge National Park

This video features amazing views of the New River Gorge Bridge, and sights we saw among our hike of the Long Point Trail in the New River George National Park. Located in Fayetteville, West Virginia this trail is slightly moderate. The trail is used by hikers and mountain bikers alike. West Virginia's newest National Park has a lot to offer hikers. The views are fantastic and trails are relatively easy. You will soon find out why the song Take Me Home Country Roads, by John Denver begins with the words, Almost Heaven - West Virginia!

Along this trail you will pass through beautiful forest settings, rhododendron tunnels, and see views of New River, New River Gorge, possibly a waterfall across the River, and the best possible panoramic view of the New River Gorge Bridge. One of the most popular trails in the park, can become busy, so come early and be sure to only park in designated parking lots. This is a must do trail if you are in West Virginia, or the surrounding states of Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky or Maryland. This is another great National Park hiking trail.
