Window Motor Fix 2003-2008 Subaru Forester | Canon 6D 24-70mm | SG Forester

My driver's side power window stopped lifting the window back up on my 2004 Subaru Forester XT. At first it was slow to go up, then it got even slower. Eventually the window stopped going up at all, and I had to use my hand to lift up the glass while pressing the window control. This is a very common problem on SG Foresters from 2003 to 2008.

In this video I show how I disassembled the door, removed the old worn motor, and replaced it with a new one.

I was able to replace the window motor without having to replace the regulator, allowing me to save money on parts and only replace what was needed. The regulator was just fine, but the motor had become very weak, especially when pushing the glass up.

This motor apparently fits the Front Left or Right Rear windows in the Forester.
