Описание к видео EMS Academy at "Freedom House"

On April 16, 2012, St. Paul Fire Station 51 was renamed Freedom House, in honor of the original Freedom House Ambulance Service in Pittsburgh, PA. There, in 1967-75 a group of black men and women trained as emergency medical technicians and became the first paramedics in the USA. St. Paul's Freedom House is home to an EMS Academy that gives low-income youths a chance to train, earn wages and get certified as EMTs.
