The Black Forest Trail in Tiadaghton State Forest near Slate Run, PA is a challenging, rugged, and beautiful 42 mile loop trail. The BFT is loaded with spectacular vistas, several waterfalls, and gorgeous scenery. This trail offers plentiful water sources and a multitude of primitive camping options. By utilizing connector trails, hikers can shorten or lengthen their trip if they wish. The BFT connects to notable trails such as the West Rim Trail, Donut Hole Trail, and Susquehannock Trail System.
