Gear, Static Lines, Seatbacks, Forward Structure and More - RV-7A | EP3.28

Well that was a long "few" days, huh?

Hopefully I make it up by getting everyone caught up in this jam-packed episode.

We cover installing the gear weldments, and legs.
Then move to finishing the seat backs for once and for all.
Then aft to the gussets and static lines, where I make an attempt on most mistakes in one section.
After, we more forward to the forward deck structure, where I'm building the front cabin/panel area in anticipation of starting systems and avionics.

With all the updates last week, we don't have time to lose so this episode should bring us to current so I can get moving on the next biggest, baddest part of the build.

Oh, yeah, and I almost cut my finger off on screen...

I'm Ryan, an aviation enthusiast who has decided to build his own aircraft and publish the entire process online for others to watch along. If you have ever want to build an airplane, this is a great glimpse at what it takes.

The airplane is a two-person experimental kit built aluminum plane capable of over 200 miles per hour, and a range of over 700 miles. The kit is manufactured by Van's Aircraft, one of the most prolific kit providers on the planet, now embroiled in a Chapter 11 reorganization process in order to prevent bankruptcy ;-). The airplane is aerobatic, functional, and fun. The build is challenging, time consuming, fun and rewarding.
