During this session, tropical cyclones formation, tropical cyclones' causes and other key topics related to this concept of tropical cyclones are also discussed.

Cyclones are rapid inward air circulation around a low-pressure area. The air circulates in an anticlockwise direction in the Northern hemisphere and clockwise in the Southern hemisphere.
Tropical Cyclones are usually accompanied by violent storms and bad weather.

They are known by different names across the world:
Cyclones in the Indian Ocean
Hurricanes in the Atlantic
Typhoons in the Western Pacific and the South China Sea
Willy-willies in Western Australia

The conditions required for the formation of tropical cyclones are:
Large sea surface with a temperature higher than 27° C.
Presence of the Coriolis force.
Small variations in the vertical wind speed.
A pre-existing weak low- pressure area or low-level-cyclonic circulation.
Upper divergence above the sea level system.
