ProAnalog Devices Manticore Overdrive V2

(This video was shot back in August...hence the 'heat wave' comment! Yes, I'm aware that it's currently November and it's anything but warm here in the UK!!)

This is a really cool boost and gain pedal...the V2 Manticore from ProAnalog Devices. At its heart, it's based on the Klon Centaur circuit - but with an extra boost on the front end, and greater control over the low-end content. The Gain and Drive controls yield similar but subtly different results, whilst the low end ("Savage") control really makes the pedal thunder with bassy EQ, as well as adding gain in those lower frequencies. So much tweakability!

Guitar is a 1996 MIJ Fender Telecaster with a Monty's '53 bridge and Bare Knuckle Flat '50 neck pickups, recorded through a Hughes & Kettner Puretone (Fane AlNiCo A60; Aston Spirit Condenser and '70s Sennheiser MD441) and a Dr Z DB4 (Celestion AlNiCo Cream; sE RNR1 ribbon) with a Schoeps CMC6 room mic.
