How to seal around 1/2" copper tub spout pipe? When water gets past the tub spout's seal it could cause damage behind the wall. I've used this solution with success in rental properties since 2017. Red Disc Seal works much better than caulking the opening because it has a snug-fit o-ring that seals around the 1/2" copper pipe.
