When World War II began, Corrie ten Boom and her family began helping Jewish people get food and other necessities, ultimately hiding them in their home from the Nazis. After several years, the family was caught and taken to prison. Corrie survived and eventually was released, but her sister and father died in the concentration camp. Corrie went on to help victims of war find healing in Jesus, and she traveled to 64 countries, sharing how God taught her to forgive those who had mistreated her.
