MV Lord of the Isles to Islay

With the announcement of the withdrawal and subsequent scrapping of MV Hebridean Isles I decided that now was a good time to book a trip to Islay to get a farewell sail on her before retirement. However as you can probably tell this plan ended before it began as due to the ongoing issues at Arran and the Isle of Arran needing its overhaul Hebridean Isles had been withdrawn from Islay and moved to Arran to cover, in her place came MV Lord of the Isles, however with accommodation and ferry tickets booked there was no backing out so I went with it and got a rare sailing on LOTI on a rare route for her to serve as we left Kennacraig for Port Askaig and then returned via the other Islay port of Port Ellen the following day.
